Who needs those stupid flavor packets when you can mix your ramen noodles with cheddar cheese and Bull's Eye barbique sauce? Trust me, it's absolutely delicious. Add cayenne pepper and cilantro for a perfect finish!
Spring is in the air. I didn’t go to any more parks yet, but I walked around the neighborhood and took several pictures this April. The insects and flowers are back from their winter hideouts. I also did some other stuff.
I wanted some salad and my mother had left me parsley, dill, arugula, lettuce, green pepper, tomatoe, and broccoli from her garden. I felt it was missing something, so I added sour cream, salt, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and three large spoonfuls of leftover bean soup, which had in it pork, kale, tomatoe paste, carrots, potatoes, celery, and fifteen kinds of beans. It was amazing.
I later added some of the same soup to Ramen noodles and cheese. I also added a chopped breakfast sausage, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
I imagine that the soup would be excellent on eggs, too, but the soup is gone now.
I was feeling creative with the odds and ends in the fridge this morning and invented an amazing sandwich. On wheat toast I put cream cheese, bib lettuce, raw pea pods, sauteed onions, and three of those round breakfast sausages. It was awesome.
I discovered Blue Diamond lime and chili flavored almonds recently. The lime flavor is very strong, to the point that I forgot that I was eating almonds and thought that I was eating almond-chili flavored limes. I prefer the wasabi-soy sauce variety much better, though they are not always the same strength from batch to batch. It pairs well with roast beef sandwiches. My favorite has to be habanero-barbecue. Those are absolutely delicious!
I just discovered that Butterfinger is now competing with Reese's. The local Dollar Tree sells peanut butter cups flavored just like traditional Butterfinger bars. The filling is creamier than that of Reese's (which is more crumbly) except for the few crunchy grains of Butterfinger trapped inside. They were absolutely amazing - though still not as good as Reese's white chocolate coated peanut butter cups. Now those are something else entirely!
This is normally where I would post a picture, but by the time I found my camera this time they had already been eaten.
