The flies of planet Punlitorea have a problem. Polyps will attach to them and multiply, forming colonies that eventually envelop the animal. The colony secretes hormones that change the fly's form, causing its wings to enlarge to handle the additional load. The colony then takes over the fly's brain and keeps it flying. The colony eats by being sticky enough to snatch dust, pollen, seeds, and insects out of the air by ramming into them. The proboscis at the bottom is a drinking tube.
