Some call it “Entirety.” Others call it “The Further.” The Spidips of Spidipa named the universe Doodleon, believing it to be one grand doodle drawn up by a transreality being they call “The Doodler.” The Beps of Snax call it Vandilla, after their pantheistic universe-goddess. Others call it Whisslumor, Oxarchnga, or Omlipenia. It is the Mobukopu of Mobukoput that name the universe Homwokya. These are just a few of its attractions:
The planet Punlitorea is a warm, medium-sized terrestrial planet dominated by swamps and thick vegetation. The nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere contains two percent water vapor and seven percent carbon dioxide, creating a strong greenhouse effect. Life there is arsenic-based, able to be poisoned by phosphorous. It is also very rich in iron. Energy is stored not as fat, but as strong acids and bases kept in separate bladders to be combined when energy is needed.
The sentient beings of Punlitorea include the horn-necks.
Punlitorea is also home to the sea drops, the trench crabs, the shadow algae, the popcorn mold, the soda pitchers, the BB cacti, the sproutipedes, pogs, anchroses worms, thunderblister trees, and cute legless mammals.
Pendjus F A
Pendjus is a gas giant planet in the same star system as Punlitorea. The first satellite around the sixth moon of Pendjus is designated Pendjus F A. This small, nearly airless body has several large lakes, frozen on top and liquid underneath. Chemosynthetic bacteria lives down there, but supposedly not enough to feed the small population of elusive running fish that also live there. It is a bit of a mystery how they survive.
The planet Seelx is an Earth-like planet. It is mined for coal and magnesium. It is home to vine forests, made up of vines that stand upright with the help of gas bladders. The tallest of these vines are the lightning plants, which store food as elemental magnesium.
The surface of planet Snax is ten percent land, ten percent deep water, and eighty percent water less than one hundred twenty meters deep. Shallow shoals stretch for thousands of kilometers in some places.
Snax is home to the Beps, sentient centipede-like beings with key-like hands. It is also home to thousands of species of sentient fish. All the sea creatures on the planet speak the same language (based on clicks).
Mobukoput is an Earth-like planet dominated by grasslands (with tough, rough grass) and has no forests. It is home to the Mobukopu, a sentient humanoid species. Mobukopu are yellow-brown humanoids with short, thin hair everywhere except their faces (hairless) and the outer sides of their legs (much longer, thicker hair).
Spidipa is a large terrestrial planet dominated by “rock forests” (areas of short, closely-spaced, irregular stone pillars). Seas and vegetated fields exist as well. It is home to the sentient Spidips, a spacefaring race. The Spidips have detachable holdfasts under their mouths and a single, long, bony tentacle dotted with several eyes. There are moist patches under each eye and the tentacle ends in a bulb. They come in a variety of races, including white, yellow, and green. They have no anus, but rather atomize their waste and breathe it out through their skin. They smell like onions or celery. Having no hands, they control their vehicles by shifting their weight on tipsy tables. The bulbs on the end of their tentacles can also be used to hit buttons. To grasp objects, they wrap their tentacles around them.
Delitank 15 is the fifteenth largest world of a system with many small worlds (the largest 31 are spherical under their own gravity) instead of a few large planets. It has many craters. It is home to mostly aracial creatures, such as The Wallib, The Goat-Urchin, and The Three-Throat.
The Lamb Homeworld
The Lamb have no personal names, no name for their race, and no name for their planet. They were named by the same visitor that took Lamb (the character – see future posts) away with him. They use no tools, no clothes, no houses, and indeed have never known any technology except for their powerful weather-control systems. They live in misty bamboo forests and eat raw mushrooms.
