I'm tired of being told that I judge right and wrong by the values of my culture. This is insulting and offensive. I judge right and wrong by the values of me. If we disagree, I don't insult your whole culture; I just insult you.
I’m tired of being told that emotion and reason are mutually exclusive. The truth is, as far as it comes to choice of action, the two are inextricably entangled. If I don’t care, it doesn’t matter what I know, and if I don’t know, how can I care? I can’t relate emotionally to you without a convincing reason and I can’t make a choice without a compelling desire.
I’m tired of being told that I think everyone who disagrees with me is wrong, as if this is unusual or somehow wrong. I don’t think you’re wrong because I disagree with you, I disagree with you because you’re wrong. When I say you're wrong, it means I can prove it. Think about it: If I couldn't prove it, how would I know you were wrong?
