This lizard lives in the trees of planet Punlitorea. When it molts, the sticky skin just sort of hangs on in tattered ribbons. This aids the animal in several ways. First, it provides both padding and drag when falling out of the trees. Second, it provides camouflage by resembling the bark of the trees it most prefers. Third, the skin will gum-up the mouths of predators and also slip off easily, allowing a quick escape. The lizards care for their young and mates. When discovering a source of soft foods such as berries or eggs, the lizard will first eat its fill and then carefully carry a morsel back to its comrades in the toothless tip of its snout. They will also carry their young this way.
